Program Description

Module 1: Essential Concepts in Instructional Design
Learn how an instructional designer thinks and how to apply these essential concepts into your course content using a blend of online teaching and learning strategies.
 
Module 2: Digital Learning Object Design & Development
Prepare your content for online learning through identifying and categorizing curricular elements and lesson plans into “learning objects, interactions, and interfaces” as you begin to apply the basics of course design to the organization of your online courses.

 
Module 3: Creating Multisensory Learning Objects
Dive deep into the facets of visual, written, and auditory elements so you can create attractive and meaningful visual materials, incorporate compelling written elements, and use sound effectively to increase student attention, engagement, comprehension, and learning.
 
Module 4: Online Assessment & Evaluation 
Incorporate digital assessment tools into your instructional design that promote formative feedback, reflection, and allow for instructional adjustments & assess the efficacy of your course content to support continuous improvement.
 
Module 5: Organizing Your Digital Toolkit
Use a variety of digital tools to structure differentiated online learning experiences and incorporate the learning objects and assessment tools you’ve developed to structure interactions, interfaces, and create or improve your course.
